Masks and Skin Problems - Stop the breakouts with Kindness

June 4, 2020

Is your skin breaking out in pimples   since wearing a mask.

Have you noticed small whiteheads

Your pores are getting clogged due to the sebum and bacteria under the skin  and the masks cause irritation

Masks trap  moisture, sweat, oil and dirt close to our skin. Which  results in  blemishes such as  acne, small bumps, inflamed hair follicles, irritation, pressure sores, broken blood vessels, contact dermatitis and rosacea.

Because the masks tend to move   and we move the mask  to eat or take a drink  so any friction  can cause  irritation  as well as we  are continually touching our faces to adjust them, leaving behind dirt or other irritants on our skin.

Evan the simple act of breathing is a complication. “When we breathe or talk into the masks, we increase moisture as well as breathing out carbon dioxide,   this  can result in an overgrowth of bacteria, which can create acne, inflamed hair follicles and a flare-up of rosacea.

Stop  the breakouts  with  kindness

To  avoid  blemishes, you need to alter your skin-care routine and consider what kind of mask you are wearing.

Change your Skin Care Routine  to prevent breakouts.

  1. Clean your skin with a gentle cleanser.

  3. Use a Clay Mask, even better with the mineral  Zinc (anti Inflammatory)

  4. Use a Toner  to   keep your skin hydrated

  5. Use a light moisturizer serum with anti inflammatory ingredients to create a protective barrier for your face even better if it contains vitamin B   to help support the skin surface.

  6. Avoid wearing makeup, which can spoil the mask and further clog your skin.

  7. Clean your mask,do not allow dirt and bacteria to build up on a mask. Use a gentle detergent  to clean your mask  and wash it in the hottest water possible, even add hydrogen peroxide or  Aqua     Oxigenada for that extra boost of clean.
